Vegan Chocolate Recipe (yum!)

For so long I had these ingredients in my cupboard, so don’t wait to whip them up into delicious and nourishing healthy sweet treat for you and your loved ones. Easy peezy trust me.

INGREDIENTS

  • 90g organic cacao butter
  • 60g cacao powder
  • 60g coconut palm sugar

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Heat cacao butter in a glass bowl or pan over another pan with simmering water on a low heat, until melted
  2. Remove from heat & combine in pre-dissolved coconut palm sugar into melted cacao butter
  3. Add cacao powder and stir until smooth (I use a fork)

TIP: This chocolate melts quite quickly, so keep your chocolate stored in the fridge or freezer

You can finish the process here by pouring the mixture into silicon ice cube trays or reusable cupcake cases and place in the fridge to set, or freezer if you can’t wait too long to taste the delicious-ness. Otherwise you can now add anything extra you love, maybe a drop of peppermint or vanilla essential oil, your favourite nuts, berries or nut butter.

I chose to add cacao nibs, goji berries, desiccated coconut and peanut butter to the ice tray chocolate and separately made my own fruit & nut bar with some pepitas, sunflower seeds, almonds, hazelnuts and goji berries. Processed with VSCOcam with g3 preset

This is just one recipe for beautiful cruelty free chocolate. Another common recipe is combining coconut oil, cacao powder and a sweetener of your choice (eg. agave, maple) using a similar method as above. I prefer using cacao butter purely for the creamier texture.
